A MODEL MINUTE : Diego Krauss

DIEGO KRAUSS

(Q&A with CREME model)

Agencies: Wilhelmina (NY) Success (Paris) Elite (Milan)

Obvious traits: smart, open-minded and approachable, professional

We sat down with Diego Krauss the day of our cover shoot for a little q&a. He has been working the past couple of years as an international fashion model. In addition to a slew of editorials he has walked for the likes of Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, and Georgio Armani just to name a few. His money making qualities are apparent at a glance and an inevitable double take. We had a good feeling about this one and if you didn't know who he was by now we will give you a chance to find out.....

CREME: Tell us how you got into this line of work?

Diego: I got discovered in Zurich from some photographer, he stopped me and told me to contact an agency.

CREME: I guess its just that easy for some, huh…. Tell us throughout all the traveling what is your favorite city of them all?

Diego: A few months after I got signed they sent me to Milan and Paris for my first fashion weeks, at the moment I feel that New York is my favorite city. You have a little bit and a lot of everything!

CREME: There is no place like New York, I agree.... Say you gained a couple hundred pounds and your face disappeared somehow, what would you be doing instead of modeling?

Diego: (laughs) I used to work in graphic design, right now If I wasn’t modeling I guess I would be in the Swiss Army… thanks to modeling I got a chance to escape!

CREME: In between the running around and working, do you have any favorite books or bands you like to mellow out to?

Diego: I love all the Harry Potter Books! As far as bands I don’t really have a favorite one there are too many good ones.

CREME: I tell this to everyone, Harry potter is a cult Diego, don’t get caught up… I'm joking. Whats your background and what countries do we have to thank for your DNA?

Diego:. I was born in Luzern Switzerland, but I am ½ German and ½ Italian.

CREME: We tried eavesdropping on your phone call earlier, but you weren’t speaking English. What other languages do you speak?

Diego:. I speak Swiss -German, German, English, some French, and Italian.

CREME: And they say models are….. nevermind. Because we are all about indulgence, tell us, what is your favorite thing to indulge in?

Diego: Anything with a CREME filling!
